The “Fast Track” Mod-Retro takes aim at serious overhead waves where a little more volume is required under chest for early entry before gunning it down the line. The forward curve and pulled in bump-pin tail takes inspiration from the 70’s Pipe era, while harnessing the power and control of modern concave bottom contours.

This board suits best for a skilled surfer who leverages their back knee and hips for torque; aiming for more graceful and powerful turns, while rejecting the “Huntington hop.”

This board was inspired by 70's Pipe. Picture Gerry or Rory fading a late drop into the pit, then making a subtle adjustment with the back foot and pulling up into a liquid cavern before being spat out into the channel to hoots and acclaim.

  • Clear: Classic look with non-tinted Epoxy Resin*.
  • Resin Tint: Custom color pigments mixed directly into Epoxy Resin* to create unique swirls and patterns.
  • Air Brush: Hand-sprayed color applied directly to the board for precise designs, gradients, or solid tones. Available in single or multi-color finishes.

*All our boards are laminated with Bio-Based Entropy Epoxy Resin.

Mike Wallace shapes edge-board guns for big-wave surfers, blending classic influences with modern innovation.

Starting surfing at 18 on Oahu, Mike Wallace quickly became a Half Moon Bay surf-team coach and shaper, influenced by Andreini, Greenough, and Junod while writing for SurfPulse. Two decades later, the I-Con-O-Clast founder collaborates on edge-board guns with Grant “Twiggy” Baker, Mavericks chargers Wilem Banks and Steve Rice, and surfers chasing new sensations.
