Learn the origins and history of surfboard shaping, along with the story and technique behind 3D-printed surfboards. Then dive into the basics of surfboard anatomy before to get your hands on Shape3D's interface and learn about views, tangents and control points.
Class 2
Concaves, rockers and fins
Learn about fin setups (Thruster, Quad, Twin, Single) and how to adjust your board’s size, proportions, and foil by working with control points, slices, and curve handles. Create a single-to-double concave and learn about fin placement.
Class 3
Cleaning, Mistakes & Print Prep
In this final session,we will spot and fix common beginner mistakes, clean up your design, and prepare your board for 3D printing. We'll cover checking foil consistency, simplifying structure, and exporting for a scaled prototype.
