The Perching Tiger is a a single-fin longboard built to tread lightly and ride long. Thin and foiled with a subtle nose concave and a touch of tail flip, it also runs reverse rocker (slightly more tail than nose) and a slight hard edge out the tail to keep things clean and precise. Laminated with flax cloth and Entropy Epoxy over a 100% plant-based core, it pushes sustainability to the next level while delivering unmatched strength and lively flex, more than 10× stronger than a typical PU, with glide you can feel.

Designed for extended noserides in and out of the pocket, it balances float and swing weight so it perches forever and still turns beautifully when you step back. If you want to feel the glide of high-vibration materials on a purpose-built craft, this one’s for you.

Tigre Bona is Tony Brigante’s passion project—hand-shaping noseriders from a DIY shaping room, driven by love for board design and wave dynamics.

Tigre Bona was created by Tony Brigante from making longboards and fishes mostly for himself, and in the last few years for family and friends. Most of his customs are noserider-based designs, which he finds endlessly interesting.

The fact that intentionally shaping and changing contours and anticipating the reaction of the hydrodynamic features of a surfboard and water flow along with wave shape is just so crazy. You could do it in your backyard. I made a shaping room out of a walk in freezer. I’ve been doing start to finish builds on boards and it is full of blood, sweat and tears (actually)."
