The Slip Disc Power Hull is designed to excel in hollow pockety waves with its convex hull fitting well in tight spaces and flowing with the curve of the wave, rather than against it. Out on the shoulder on softer waves it will nimbly roll from rail to rail, despite its relative width. The parabolic “Venturi Channel” (power hull) will funnel that smooth momentum generated up front and squeeze it between the fins for a more acute angle of attack.

The Slip Disc Power Hull covers a wide range of surfing abilities. Beginners and intermediate surfers can benefit from the paddle power, while advanced surfers can take advantage of the dynamics off the tail for a more skatey and flowy feel than their traditional shortboard.

Starting surfing at 18 on Oahu, Mike Wallace quickly became a Half Moon Bay surf-team coach and shaper, influenced by Andreini, Greenough, and Junod while writing for SurfPulse. Two decades later, the I-Con-O-Clast founder collaborates on edge-board guns with Grant “Twiggy” Baker, Mavericks chargers Wilem Banks and Steve Rice, and surfers chasing new sensations.
