About Spina
Spina Surfboards was born from a deep love for the sea, connecting the spirit of the Mediterranean with the free-spirited energy of Southern California. Inspired by the rich history of “Mare Nostrum”—the Mediterranean, where Western seafaring traditions first took root—Spina’s designs honor the ocean’s legacy and the connections forged along its shores. Blending this heritage with experiences in California’s iconic surf towns, each board tells a story of two coastlines and a passion for the art of surfing.
At Spina, sustainability and community are at the heart of everything we do. From eco-friendly materials to thoughtful shaping practices, we’re committed to protecting the fragile ecosystems we love, like the Posidonia seagrass beds of the Mediterranean. We see surfing as more than just a sport—it’s a way to connect with nature, with others, and with ourselves. Spina is a brand that invites everyone to ride waves with joy, humility, and respect for the ocean and the communities it sustains.
At Spina, we shape boards for slow moments — warm sunsets, long paddles, and the joy of gliding with friends. Surfing is just an excuse to savor life.
